A registration system mandates users to enrol themselves on a particular website for enhanced site access and features. If users have paid for online access, they must fill out a registration form in order to gain access to the full content of the website.


Any digital publisher can authorise premium content access only to paid subscribers, provided these users associate their subscriptions with the website account. Publishers can erect a tight paywall to ensure that the premium content is available only to registered users and subscribers.

Under this system, free registered users can access a certain number (predetermined) of articles over a set period and gain access to tools such as news alerts. Paid subscribers get access to unlimited content and more online tools, such as ePaper, mobile and tablet access. The system is designed ingeniously to pose limited questions at the beginning of the exercise and subsequently, add more questions on an incremental basis. This way, it steers clear of overwhelming a user by presenting a lengthy questionnaire.

KREATIO supports all kinds of registration methods, including Double Opt-in registration, in which a communication is sent to a registered mail ID to validate the respective account and Opt-out registration, wherein access is granted soon after basic details are captured.

It lets publishers opt for a tiered access approach, in which users can first sample content upon registration or free trial subscription, and get higher levels of access as and when they pay more. It is not just greater volume of content, but means more timely content and additional features.
